I love shopping and am always on the lookout for something unique. I stumbled on Star50 Handbags website recently and I think I’m in love with the Texas Star Clutch.  As a resident of the LoneStarState I found the pink handbag a fitting and whimsical tribute all that is Texas.  The soft pink color, of course, is a nod to the pink granite state capitol building in Austin.

The Star50 Handbags collection is inspired by travel to all 50 states and each bag in the collection pays homage to a different state. For the Texas Star Clutch, Star50’s owner, Amity Cooper, really put some time into researching how to make this bag a true symbol of Texas pride.

The touchable nutmeg suede backing hails to the cattle that are almost as numerous as people in the state – Texas has 16 million head of cattle to its 21 million people!  The touch of pink, brown and grey wool that adorn the sides of the bag add a classy touch of feminine style to the already perfect bag. And what would a Texas bag be without that special Lone Star, a symbol of the state’s stint as an independent nation and the flag that was raised over the Alamo in 1836 when Texas declared independence from Mexico.

The Texas Star Clutch isn’t just symbolic and pretty, it’s versatile! Its tidy size and neat log shape and detachable strap make it a perfect bag to take along anywhere – whether you’re heading out for some two-stepping at your favorite dance hall, taking pictures in the bluebonnets (Texas’ state flower) or heading off to a business lunch in the big city.

This month, the bag is also a great deal! Star50 has it on sale this month for just $89.97 on their website at http://www.star50bags.com/bags .  I was also impressed with the website, which not only sells purses, but gives you the feel of a jaunt across the United States!
